Banstead Infant School PTA
Here at Banstead Infant School we are very lucky to have a very active PTA. Our aim is to make the school a better place for children to learn. This is achieved by working together to organise fun and enjoyable events, that bring our community together and raise money for additional equipment and materials for our school. The extra funds really really do play an enormous part in enhancing our children’s education. We have lots of events such as movie nights, Festive Funtime, Summer Family Fun Day and a Dare to be Different Day.
Role of the PTA
- PTA stands for Parent Teacher Association
- It is a school-based organisation with a mission to make the school a better place for children to learn
- Parents of children work together with staff to put on events for children and families that raise money for school supplies, and generally support the school's efforts
- PTA members are parent volunteers
- The parents of children support the PTA committee with fundraising events throughout the year
- The PTA committee liaise with the Headteacher regarding organisation of events
- The PTA committee work closely with class reps when organising events
Each year we look forward to seeing new faces who will come on board and actively take part with the PTA.
