GLF Schools

GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

Welcome to Banstead Infant School

We are a 3 form infant school for children aged 4 to 7, with a published admission number of 270. Our nine classrooms, library and hall are built around an inner atrium. There are three playgrounds with a climbing wall, a trim-trail, a large EYFS outdoor learning space and a woodland walk for outdoor learning and Forest School. Our school and classrooms provide a warm, welcoming and stimulating environment for our children.

Year 1 had an amazing day travelling back in time to the Victorian seaside. They spent the morning making souvenirs and then in the afternoon took a trip to the pier, where they enjoyed traditional games, fish and chips and a Punch & Judy show. A huge thank you to @historyoffthepage

Here is our collaborative art project from Forest School this week. Each child started with a flour outline of themselves which they then personalised using items they found on the woodland floor.

The Year 2 country dancers gave a fantastic performance at the Banstead Village May Queen Event on Saturday, impressing the crowd with their enthusiasm, teamwork, and beautifully executed traditional routines. Their weeks of preparation clearly paid off, and they represented the school with pride and professionalism. It was a memorable moment for the children, staff, and families alike—well done to all the Year 2 dancers for their outstanding effort and performance.

An incredible achievement for a wonderful member of staff. Mrs Owen's dedication to her job has been unwavering over the past 30 years. Thank you from us and all the children, whose lives you have been a part of.
